This Privacy Policy explains how your data is handled when you play games on games.peteja.de. Because privacy is important, this website is designed to collect as little data as possible. There are no tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, and no third-party advertisements.

1. Hosting and Server Logs (Render.com)

This website is hosted on Render.com (Render Services Inc.). When you visit this website, the hosting servers automatically record standard technical data (Server Log Files) required to display the website and ensure security. This data may include:

Your IP address
The date and time of your visit
Your browser type and version
Your operating system

This data is not linked to your personal identity. It is collected strictly for the legitimate interest of operating a secure and functional website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Render processes this data in accordance with their own privacy policy.

2. Local Storage (High Scores & Settings)

The games on this site use your browser's Local Storage (localStorage) to save your progress and preferences. This allows the games to remember your settings the next time you open them.

The following type of data is saved locally on your device:

High Scores: Your best scores and progress for the respective games (e.g., Tower Stacker).
Game Preferences: Settings you choose, such as selected game modes, theme, or whether you have muted the audio.
Leaderboard Name: The nickname last entered by you, so you do not need to type it again.

Important: These local values remain on your device and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Only the leaderboard data described below is transmitted when you choose to save a result. The website does not use tracking cookies.

You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser's website data or cache.

3. Online Leaderboards (Supabase)

The website uses Supabase to provide public high-score tables. The Supabase project is configured for the Central EU (Frankfurt) region. A page may request the current leaderboard when it loads. When you actively press the save button, the following information is transmitted:

the nickname chosen by you (please use an alias, not your full name);
game, game mode, score and an optional secondary value such as level, moves or time;
for Daily Challenges, the challenge date;
a random run identifier and the server-side submission time.

Supabase and its infrastructure providers may also process technical connection data such as your IP address and browser request information to deliver and secure the service. The leaderboard is provided for the legitimate interest of offering fair game functionality and preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Saving a result is optional; the games remain playable without it.

Leaderboard nicknames and scores are publicly visible. Entries are retained until the leaderboard is reset or a justified deletion request is received. Direct table writes are blocked; submissions pass through server-side validation and row-level security. 4. External Links

This website contains links to external websites (such as social media profiles). If you click these links, you will leave this website. I have no control over the privacy practices of external platforms, so please review their respective privacy policies.

5. Your Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, or to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. To request removal of a leaderboard entry, contact the operator and include the displayed nickname, game, approximate score and date so the entry can be located. You can delete local browser data yourself through your browser settings.

6. Contact

This website is a purely private, non-commercial hobby project. It generates no revenue, contains no advertisements, and does not track users.
